Prof. Claudio Marazzini President of the Accademia della Crusca, Prof. Giovanna Frosini of the University for Foreigners of Siena and Academica della Crusca and Prof. Giuseppe Polimeni of the State University of Milan have chosen the painting by Federica "Dante and the Stars "as the cover image of the volume" Dante, l'Italiano ".
The volume will be published by the Accademia della Crusca, on the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Collaboration (MAECI), on the occasion of the XXI Week of the Italian Language in the World. It will be distributed in all Embassies, Consulates and Study Centers of the Italian language around the world.

Hi, let me introduce myself .....
I'm Federica Mauro, I'm 17 years old. I am a person with disabilities and I am in the third year of high school. With my family we have just come back to Tuscany, in Arezzo, for two years. For ten years we have been living in Rome. I like many things and I always try to keep myself busy. I attend a cooking class because, perhaps, one day I would like to become a cook. I really like to eat, especially pizza; my favorite is the margherita. One thing I'm very good at, is the shopping list :) I listen to a lot of music on the radio and I also took singing courses when I lived in Rome; once, I even sang in public. I love being in the spotlight. I am a cheerful person and I love being in company and going out with friends. A few years ago, spending the afternoon with my mom, I started using paint and brush. I'm not good at drawing, but with the computer, and other methods, I realised that I too can make a picture. By doing the portraits, I learned to know better the famous people in music, art and history. I loved reading the stories of famous people and I especially love the biographies of the "Grandissimi of Corriere della Sera", an Italian newspaper. A few years ago I did exhibitions in Rome with portraits of famous people and friends. I also met some of them, for example the astronaut Paolo Nespoli and the designer Silver (the inventor of Lupo Alberto), who dedicated a personalised cartoon to me. I prefer bright colours and my favorite colour is red, but also orange and for my eighteenth birthday I want to make my hair that color! During the lockdown, doing the paintings with my mother, I thought of celebrating the 700th anniversary of Dante's death by making paintings on him too. I try to do many different things to keep myself busy and then, if I do an exhibition, I will meet new people.
