"The one who does not know foreign languages does not know anything about their own" (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)
I'm Ludovica Crespan and I'm an Italian teacher and a postgraduate student at the same time. After my Bachelor in Languages at the University of Venice I moved to London for a Master in Sociocultural Linguistics. During my experiences abroad, from Spain to the United States, I found out that a thing I love to do is teaching Italian to foreigners. In this role, I usually start from everyday expressions and words, which I consider the best elements to move the first steps into a new language. For this reason, I use exactly these words for guiding students toward Italian culture, which is more than 'pizza' and 'ciao bella'. For me language is our most powerful tool, so we need to know how to manage it, because, after all, we always have the freedom to choose the words to say.
